Aqua's Pelipper

Pelipper.

Now, the weirdest thing about Pelipper is its movepool. Gamefreak, thinking this guy puts anything in its beak, gave Pelipper a few weird moves. In Pokemon Emerald, where I catched my first shiny Pokemon, Wingull, I learned Pelipper is capable of performing Shock Wave. That came as a surprise. But its movepool has some more surprises; Seed Bomb, Gunk Shot, Ominous Wind. Pelipper can come as a surprise, but its better to blow your foes away with STABs. With Rain Dish, Pelipper pulls a Rain Dance moveset off quite nicely, having Hurricane and all kinds of Water type moves at its disposal, while healing up with Roost.

That's the best set for Pelipper. Its movepool isn't that wide but helps Pelipper out very well. With high Sp. Attack and Defense stats, Pelipper can Sp. Tank the ship out of others, while remaining healed. Also, Tailwind can be used for supporting your team, giving an absolute boost to Swift Swimmers.

Pelipper has been a fave since the 3rd gen, mainly because I had a shiny one, but that's clearly not the only reason. It's design is funny and exaggerated; half of its body is litterally its beak, its eyes are very original and its tiny little feet sticking out are barely usable
